Closed Beta Diary: Rome Wasn’t Built in a Day

Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither is my city. The last couple of days I noticed that developing it from scratch does not come without problems. Every time I think I am over the hump, suddenly new ones appear and need to be solved, thus forcing me to rearrange my priorities constantly.

I thought after rebuilding my army and producing rare resources by myself, I could once again focus on researching new technologies and conquering uncharted territories. But what I noticed over the last couple of days was, that my saved up supplies diminished with every passing day. Obviously I produced fewer supplies than I actually needed. But where did they all go? After a detailed investigation of the situation, I noticed that producing rare resources consumes a lot of supplies. So in order for me to ensure a constant stream of rare resources, I first have to focus on rebuilding my chain of supply. Hence tearing down older buildings and constructing more advanced and sophisticated production facilities is once again on my mind!
