Some of you might have already heard: next Tuesday, we’ll finally go into open beta with Forge of Empires, two days later, on Thursday, the German Language version will start. We call it open beta still, because we’re not completely finished with the things we want to put in the “full” game when we announce it as a “finished” product, a 1.0 version (even though it will receive updates, new features etc. even from that point on, for years to come!). But it also means that we are confident enough about the game to present it to a wider audience, and to gather input for the necessary fine-tuning on a larger scale.
Our thanks for reaching this stage goes out to everyone involved so far: exclusive preview testers, closed beta testers, forum users, everyone who follows us on facebook or reads our blog. We can be proud of our game because of your feedback, effort, ideas for improvement, and of course, the time you spent playing Forge of Empires. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
But this is far from over: everyone who played the closed beta so far can simply continue playing – with a lot more fellow players in the future. And as I already pointed out, you can look forward to a lot more features! We’re already working on new ages that you can progress to, the multiplayer-, and especially, the PvP-aspect will be significantly ramped up, there will be new buildings, quests and many more exciting things to discover. Very soon we will be publishing a roadmap for the rest of the year, containing the biggest updates and features. We very much look forward to be playing and improving Forge of Empires with you over the following weeks and months. Stay tuned!
Will we be reset upon start of Open Beta? By we I mean closed beta players? Because to be honest I just bought some Diamonds and it would be a shame if that money was wasted…
How do you play the game then? I log in and see a tutorial window that says build a hut. OK so I built a hut but the tutorial window won’t allow me to go any further and blocks the screen.
Can someone please let me know wth to do next. I am getting tired of the same loop.

So is the multiplayer part of Forge of Empires ready yet? Also if it was ready during the close-beta testing it’s not fair at all that the close-beta testers have already have stuff.
I already registered but never received the preview key so when the beta opens shall i have to register again?
I just registered for closed beta before i saw this. I’m assuming i won’t be able to join closed beta before Tuesday so will i still be able to keep my username and password for the open beta?
Thank you for your comment. Everyone who has already registered for the closed beta will keep the same username and password in the open beta. You don’t need to register again!
At what time (and time zone) will the Open Beta start on Tuesday?
That’s a very good question, Ben! I am starting hating innogames, just because of this: I waited 12:00 AM today, then checked it early morning at 7:30 AM (GMT +1), and now I’m still trying to access the game and nothing! They changed the name now (from closed beta to beta), but not also the access of people. I waited for so long for a strategy like civ+rise of nations+heroes-like battle mechanics! Just tell us when do you open beta, please…
Hi Alex, the open beta is now online. So you should have no further problems to log in.
I was lucky enough to be able to play in the closed beta, but now, ever since forge of empires has become open beta, I have lost all my progress. When I log in I see the tutorial. I really don’t want to restart from the beginning so if someone can tell me what I’m doing wrong, please do so.
Hi Eric, thank you for your comment. Please make sure that you log in to the right world. Today a second world (“Brisgard”) started. Your city from the closed beta should still be on our first world (“Arvahall”).

Cheers folks! Until yesterday i was able to access the game from my android device(sgs2) without any problems, but from today on your page tells me to upgrade to adobe flash 11.2… which is not available for the device. Any solutions? Please make it available for android again, just as it used to be up until yesterday… :-) Uhtred
